Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club - Financial Support
The Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club is a non-profit organization operating in the City of Pointe-Claire, offering support and governance to the competitive team in the sport of Sprint Canoe and Kayak racing. Financed through fundraising activities within the club, the racing program is also supported through grants from the Quebec and Canadian Canoe and Kayak federations, and operational funding from the City of Pointe-Claire.
The Pointe-Claire Canoe Kayak Club is recognized in Quebec and Canada for its innovation, leadership and performance, positioning itself because of the quality of its coaching and guidance. Since 1989, the Club promotes the emergence of athletes of all ages, initiating paddlers as young as eight years, to developing high performance and Olympic athletes, respecting their talent and aspirations, in a healthy, safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.

This financial aid is intended to ease the financial strain of athletes who show a commitment to their sport and the club. In all cases, athletes are required to be in good financial standing with the club and comply with the club’s requirements including attendance, ethical conduct, volunteering and commitment. Money available to assist athletes is variable from year to year. These policies may be modified or cancelled at any time at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
