Coach in Training Program (C.I.T.)
U14 and U16 athletes can do some volunteer work this summer to prepare for the possibility of future employment at the Club. This program includes a total of 35 hours of volunteer work throughout the summer (about 4-5 hours per week) with the various recreational and competitive groups. The volunteers will assist the monitors and coaches with the preparation and animation of groups. There will also be mandatory brief weekly meetings with the program coordinator.
All interested athletes are asked to send an email with their CV (one page) and a paragraph indicating the reasos why they want to be a CIT to Peter McMullan (peter.mcmullan@pointe-claire.ca). An information session about the program will take place in mid-June according to the athletes’ schedules. The deadline to apply for this program is Friday,
CanoeKids Training
"Learn how to teach young children (ages 6-11), fundamental canoe and kayak skills through this fun and interactive coaching workshop which focuses on helping children develop water safety awareness and skills, overall motor skills, and how to have fun on the water in a fun, safe, and structured environment."

Entry Level Competitive Coach (ELCC) Training
"This 2 day workshop is designed for coaches working with young athletes, paddling small boats, who are dedicated to developing their skills at the regional and/or provincial level of competition. The following multi-sport workshops are also required at this level of training: Make Ethical Decisions, Plan a Practice, Nutrition, and Teaching and Learning."

Steering Clinic (H2O Dragon Boat)
This helmsman clinic will teach you how to steer a dragon boat in 2 days! The helmsman clinic is for people with or without experience.

All operators of recreational powered watercraft in Canada regardless of age, engine horsepower or length of boat.
