Water Safety Seminar

To ensure the safety of everyone during the open paddling hours, all members must follow a water safety training seminar. This seminar includes a guided tour of the club facilities, boats and equipment, as well as an introduction to kayaking and the rules that apply to safety "around and on" the water. All new members must attend this seminar, which lasts 1 hour, to be allowed on the water.

Returning members can either take a refresher seminar or simply ask the open paddling attendant to briefly go over the rules. Review of the club's rules is mandatory for all returning members.
