Invitation to the Annual General Meeting

November 1, 2011

To the members of the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club:

You are invited to the Annual General Meeting of the Pointe-Claire Canoe Club, which will take place Monday, December 5, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. At the Venture Sailing Base , 90 Lakeshore Road, Pointe-Claire.

 

The agenda for this meeting is as follows:

  1. Opening of the meeting
  2. Election of the chairperson
  3. Adoption of the minutes of the 2010 AGM
  4. Financial Report for 2011
  5. Activity Reports for 2011
  6. Election of persons to the positions open on the Board of Directors
  7. Question period
  8. Closing of the meeting

As well, please be aware that nominations will be accepted for positions on the Board of Directors for 2012. Nominations may be submitted to Bill Cordner before the AGM, or presented at the AGM.

We are counting on your presence at this year’s AGM to ensure that we have a solid team to work for a fun and successful paddling season in 2012!

Cross-Country Ski Camp 2012
Invitation for all athletes aged 12 and up

Date: January 20 - 22, 2012
Departure: Friday, January 20 at 8 a.m.
Return: Sunday, January 22 at the end of the day (around 4 p.m.)
Place: Parc National du Mont-Orford
Accommodation:

The Round Hearth Le Foyer Rond (Eastman)

Cost:

Total: $185

Includes transportation, accommodation & ski pass for the 3 days.

     
  Meals:  
  Friday: Lunch & Supper
  Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
  Sunday: Breakfast & Lunch
   
  Transportation & gas is provided by the Club.

 

Note:

  • Athletes will be responsible for their own snacks. There is a cafeteria at the ski centre.
  • Athletes should bring spending money for extra food at the ski center.

 

What to bring:

  • A sleeping bag or linens and a pillow
  • Ski Equipment! (boots, skis, poles)
  • Ski Wax
  • Extra clothing (socks, mittens, training clothing)
  • Clothing for cold weather.
  • Snow pants and ski jackets, hats, mittens, boots (clothing for games outside)
  • Personal items (towel, toiletries)
  • Clothing to wear inside the dining hall
  • Water bottles and beverages.
  • A copy of their Medicare card or Medicare card
  • Skates

 

Payment may be done online (https://ludik.ville.pointe-claire.qc.ca) by credit card. Registration for the Ski Camp will be accessible as of November 2, 2011 and will be open until December 16, 2011. After this date, we will no longer take registration for the ski camp.

 

Please note that registration is on a first come, first served basis.

 

If you have travel credits, you may use them for this activity. The list is available at the club.

 

This payment is non-refundable

  • Please note that the club will not be purchasing ski passes for the Masters.
  • Please coordinate with the Masters Rep.
